Efficiency Level VI Compliant External Power Supplies available now from Ideal Power

Power conversion specialists Ideal Power announce the availability of a wide range of Level VI  external power supplies meeting the new prescribed efficiency standards. This standard came into effect in the US on February 10, 2016, and brought significant revisions and definitions to power supply performance. The legislation is intended to reduce the energy consumed by external power adapters. In some cases, the reductions could result in as little as 20% of the levels allowed in previous standards. OEM manufacturers must know new performance thresholds, direct and indirect operation models and exemptions for all new product designs.

To meet the requirements of Level VI Efficiency, Ideal Power has launched numerous new models to their comprehensive offering of external power supplies. This extensive range offers output voltages from 3 to 30VDC with output power from 6 to 300W. Power input connection options include an internal IEC connector, 2-pin connector and universal interchangeable AC plug tops. Output options include a fixed cable terminated with a jack plug, USB connector or interchangeable power connectors.
