Ideal Power is a trusted brand for Engineers and Manufacturers Worldwide, with over 16 years of experience in power conversion and 40 years of combined expertise. We offer a wide range of power products, from external AC/AC and AC/DC PSUs to smart battery charging units and intricate internal AC/DC and DC/DC converters. Their responsible sourcing of highly approved and reliable units, along with flexible stock holding and call-off systems, has made them a leading provider of power solutions.

When it comes to battery chargers, Ideal Power knows only too well the essential challenges which arise when one is required. The company’s primary aim remains, in keeping with its fundamental values, to provide engineers with precise and accurate power supplies to optimise the performance of its products.

Now that electronics have become more precise and dynamic, alternative chemistries and technologies have been introduced, challenging the battery charging market.

These unique chemistries mean that different chargers are required to provide batteries with the correct amount of power to ensure optimum performance is safely achieved and battery lifespan is maximised.

Ideal Power is chasing this innovation by providing the electronics industry with a versatile range of intelligent and smart charging units for various battery chemistries. These products are offered as part of the Ideal Power Bespoke Build system, which allows for a product to be custom built to exact technical specifications.

The range extends from the traditional SLA (Lead Acid) chemistry to Li-ion (Lithium-Ion), NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride), LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate), Lead Crystal and NiCD (Nickel-Cadmium), offering designers and installers the flexibility to achieve the desired charging systems without the worry of battery damage.

Certain models include smart technology systems engineered to safely, efficiently and automatically switch between charging modes whilst battery condition is constantly monitored and protected, allowing the charger to be left connected at all times.

Ideal Power’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Jon Vallis, advised, “Getting the right charge is essential for the longevity and performance of the battery, especially within such system critical applications as Uninterrupted Power Supplies, which rely on the battery to function correctly.”

The invaluable experience that Ideal Power has gained from working closely with engineers dotted all around the globe has allowed the company to confidently expand into new sectors and introduce the right product ranges to stay ahead of the market for innovative technology, approvals and efficiency levels.
