Coronavirus Impact on the Manufacturing Economy Update

The date I am writing this article is 27th May 2020 and the Coronavirus death toll has risen to over 351K with almost 5.61M confirmed cases. The deadly virus has caused global disruption and fear – Will the growing outbreak cause permanent damage to the global economy?

What is the situation with manufacturing in China?

China is the capital for manufacturing globally and supports many companies, thankfully Chinese workers are returning to their jobs, the factory lights have been turned on again, and the place that we know as the manufacturing epicentre of the planet for the past 20 years gets back at it.

How does this impact you as our customer?

Many of our manufacturers in China that were previously affected by COVID-19 have resumed operations.

However, although most of our factories are back to 100% capacity, we believe it is our duty to forewarn you on possible air freight and shipping delays on certain products. We are doing our utmost to speed this process for you as our customer to ensure that the goods are delivered on time.
